Setting aside for a moment my indescribable need to be right, I am going to attempt to apologize. I say attempt, because I have no idea what I'm apologizing for. And those are the worst kinds of apologies if you've ever been apologized to. People saying they're sorry not knowing what they're sorry for. Pfsh. Hence, like I said, I am going to ATTEMPT to apologize.
I have no problems with apologies. I can spit out sorries without having to worry about wounding my ego, because I don't believe in that kind of crud. If I do something wrong in the smallest sense, I say sorry... But I just have to know what I'm being sorry for. Otherwise... I'm just spitting out a sorry excuse of an apology, just to apeace the powers that be. And by powers that be, I really do mean whoever it is that needs to be apologized to.
The appropriate thing is to apologize for the situation, but that, as it seems, still remains a mystery to me. Hence, I guess the best thing is to apologize for the defect in my character. I'm sorry for being calloused and insensitive. I'm sorry for not being able to understand whatever it is that needs to be understood. I'm sorry we're just not the same, not to say that that's a bad thing. It's ok. We're just different.
Of course, the thing with apologies is that after they are presented and offered, they can either be accepted or rejected.
So, I'm sorry.
...I'm sorry for being me.
And you can choose to accept me or reject me. But this is all I know. I'm sorry.
you are forgiven for whatever it was. we all have no idea what you're apologizing for either. hehe. and i humbly apologize for whatever it is. :D
