This may come as a surprise to some of you, but portraiture wasn't exactly what I chose to practice... The category sort of chose me instead. If it were up to me, I'd be in the "weird abstract-y type of stuff sort of thing" genre.
But a decade or so later and here I am... A soul thief.
Not that I'm regretful... It's a great thing to actually be able to people pictures. And it's a beautiful and honoring feeling when people trust you to steal their souls.
And it's funny how even if I didn't choose to do this, I've grown to enjoy it... In fact there's even a small part of me that keeps a wishlist of famous/semi-famous people that I'd like to take portraits of...
Below are ten of them...
1. Ashton Kutcher
He has this perfect perfect face that just begs to be take a photo of. The boy has no bad angle... He also seems very playful so this would definitely be a fun photoshoot. Plus his eyes seem to just look into you... Naku juice kerrr. Wag lang akong matunaw. Goodness.
2. Courtney Love & Frances Bean
If only because I've wanted to be her since I first saw Hole play Violet at the VMAs. Both her and her daughter have haunting eyes that I so want to capture.
3. Alek Wek
She just has this very unique face that I so love. And her color is just wow.
4. Suri Cruise
Just 'cause she's super duper cute.
5. Matthew McConaughey
Matthew, just like Ashton, seems like he's got no bad angle. Again, wish ko lang di ako matunaw pag na-shoot ko s'ya.
6. Matthew Perry
Kasi love ko s'ya eh. Haha.
7. P!nk
Two words. Bad. Ass. Katuwa siguro s'yang kunan.
8. KC Concepcion
Just because she's absolutely gorgeous!
9. Robert Downey Jr.
Ang ganda ng mata n'ya. And his smile is really great too.
10. James Blunt
I just saw a video of him a couple of minutes ago. Ice posted it in Facebook... And I mean, I know his songs and everything, but I never really focused on what he looked like. Now that I have... All I can say is - Oh. My. Gosh. I've never seen such captivating eyes. Sana makuhanan ko yung eyes na yun. Grabe talaga.
