(Arny, I'm borrowing your title for today. This just seemed like a Deliberate Thought. Hehe. Love you!)
Ever since the beginning of December our house has been echoing with the sounds of Christmas songs, evenmoreso now with Christmas being just five days away. As I was sitting on our kitchen table, a familiar song from one of the many compilation Christmas albums that we have played in the background. And though it is a good song, I really don't like it, because it couldn't be more wrong.
The song talks of there being one God that all people pray to and therein lies my problem. I mean, on the onset, it may seem like it's right, but it's really not.
I know that at one point or another, political correctness has gotten the best of us. And I'm sure that at one point or another while making nice with other people of different faith, we have heard, "Oh it's all the same. We all serve the same God." -- Uhhh, no we don't. See, my God came down from heaven to earth and died for me on the cross. My God is Jesus Christ. If He is your God, then yes, we're serving the same God. If He's not, then really, no, it's not the same.
And if you're a Christian and you disagree with me, I really don't know what you're doing celebrating this season. Political correctness be darned, I'm not going to be nice about this, I serve and follow Jesus Christ. He is my God.
Happy Holidays!
...And if He's not yours, I seriously think that you should think about that.
ReplyDeleteYep... sounds like a DELIBERATE THOUGHT
ReplyDeleteand yes..
If you truly believe Jesus Christ is LORD... the ONE TRUE SON of the GOD... then you can truly celebrate the season 365 days a year... ESPECIALLY during "Easter"...
The Birth of Christ is the ANSWER to God's promise.. the Sacrifice of Christ is the FULFILLMENT of that promise
Forgiveness of sins and everlasting life THRU Christ Jesus ALONE
Peace!
Amen. :)
