Confessions of an OC Photographer

Wow... So it feels like I haven't blogged in forever.

I have been busy planning and planning and planning stuff for this weekend. Good thing, the other photoshoot that we were supposed to be doing tonight got postponed... Otherwise, I might be lying in a fetal position right now twirling my hair in my fingers.

Iris wrote of me one time about being an OC photographer. How I would have every last detail of a shoot covered and noted in my diary, including the props, make-up, and even the poses, weeks ahead of time. And while that is actually a good thing, I guess the problem is that when a shoot presents itself a week before and I'm not equipped to handle the pressure.

...And I don't even have a diary now. I think right around here is where I start rediscovering the art of post-it notes.

Anyway... Tonight, I took on the task of buying props for this weekend's shoot. And I forgot what a daunting task that always proved to be, since I haven't shot concepts/themes in a looong time. And so as is customary... I present you photos of the stuff...

Yeah, it's tiny... And it's not exactly what we were looking for... But it's close enough.

I'll fill it with this and put it somewhere.

...This I'll take apart... Because I ain't paying no AED90 to no Mr. Ben's closet. No, sirree.

...Because this is as cliche as it can get.

...and because sometimes one just isn't enough.

...And because I'm gonna try to channel my inner "Mamu". Yes.

...And because I don't have enough bags...

...or scarves...

...Or headbands.

(Yeah yeah, I was only supposed to buy props. I needed to reward myself for a job well done.)

...And because I love Grace. :)

...And lastly because, naawa na ako sa mga assistants.

I needs things to hold my flashes, son.
