Dear Five,

How is Aña Mikhaila? I'm sure she's beautiful and she looks just like you. I'm sure she's sweet, too and most of all naughty. You must be very proud of her. She should be going to preschool right about now. Having a child really changes you, doesn't it? Did you ever think that you would be able to give up as much as you have if you didn't have Mikha? How different of a person would you have been if you weren't responsible for another human being?

Do you ever ask yourself what type of person you would have been? I do. Not always... But of late I've been asking myself perpetually. Who would I have been if I had been you? If I hadn't walked away and if I just let myself become you... Would I have been happy? I guess with a daughter like Mikha, who wouldn't be, right?

It's not that I'm not happy now... I'm just asking, "what if?". What if five years ago, I chose to be you instead?
